Busy Busy Busy

September has been a hustle and bustle of activity in our classroom! What a great class we have.  I can’t say enough about kind and thoughtful children and this class is just that, great job families 👏🏼😉

 I have been enjoying every day with these kind souls and I am excited for the year ahead of us!! 

We have been reading some great books and already finished our very first class chapter book. I like to read the children books that are in a series so that if they are interested they have more to choose from. 

We are now on to the book: Flat Stanley and I have a lot of great adventures planned for him. Just wait until you hear about all the places he will visit (and we will study) this year!! 

The kids are working hard as readers and writers themselves and have been doing a great job working together.

We also have been talking about the “power of yet” and how when you dont know something it just means you haven’t learned it YET and while some friends might have strengths where you are weak, you have your own area of strength. This also helps us to develop a community of learning where kids feel safe asking for help.
